P&L Analytics & Performance Tracking
Understand your Stratium trading performance — realized vs unrealized P&L, ROI, win rate, drawdown metrics, and how to read your analytics dashboard.
TL;DR: Stratium calculates P&L in real time using FIFO (first-in, first-out) accounting — the industry-standard method for tax-accurate position tracking. Realized P&L counts only completed round-trip trades; unrealized P&L reflects open positions at current market prices. Total ROI = (Current Value − Deposits + Withdrawals) / Deposits × 100.
How does Stratium track my trading performance?
Stratium tracks every trade's performance in real time, giving you complete visibility into how your copy trading strategies are performing. Analytics are available through:
- Telegram bot — Tap P&L Analytics in the main menu for a mobile-optimized performance view
- Web dashboard — Go to Analytics in the sidebar for detailed charts, trade breakdowns, and CSV export
All P&L calculations use FIFO (first-in, first-out) accounting. When you sell a token you have bought in multiple batches at different prices, the cost basis of the earliest purchase is applied first. This is the same method used by most tax authorities for crypto gains calculation and produces an auditable, accurate performance record.
What P&L metrics does Stratium calculate?
Realized P&L
Profit or loss from completed round-trip trades (a BUY followed by a SELL of the same token). Realized P&L is locked in once a sell executes — it does not fluctuate with market prices.
Example:
- Bought 1,000 BONK for 0.5 SOL
- Sold 1,000 BONK for 0.8 SOL
- Realized P&L: +0.3 SOL (+60%)
Unrealized P&L
Profit or loss on open positions that have not been sold yet. Unrealized P&L fluctuates with the current market price of each token and only becomes realized when the position is closed.
Example:
- Holding 500 WIF, purchased at 0.2 SOL total
- Current market value: 0.35 SOL
- Unrealized P&L: +0.15 SOL (+75%)
Total ROI (Return on Investment)
Your overall return since starting, calculated as:
ROI = (Current Portfolio Value − Total Deposits + Total Withdrawals) / Total Deposits × 100
This formula accounts for both realized gains locked in from closed trades and the current value of open positions, giving you a single number representing your total performance.
Win rate
The percentage of closed trades that resulted in a profit:
Win Rate = Profitable Completed Trades / Total Completed Trades × 100
A win rate above 50% combined with a profit factor above 1.0 indicates sustainable strategy performance. Note that a 45% win rate can still be profitable if winning trades are significantly larger than losing trades — this is the pattern in Stratium's Aggressive strategy tier.
Profit factor
Gross profit divided by gross loss across all closed trades. A profit factor above 1.0 means total profits exceed total losses. Above 1.5 is considered strong; above 2.0 is excellent.
Max drawdown
The largest peak-to-trough decline in your portfolio value, expressed as a percentage. Lower drawdown indicates more consistent performance. Stratium's Conservative strategy tier targets max drawdown under 20%.
How do I read my Stratium portfolio view?
When you tap Portfolio in the bot menu, you see:
- SOL Balance — Your available SOL for new trades
- Token Positions — Each token you currently hold:
- Token name and symbol
- Quantity held
- Current value in SOL
- Unrealized P&L (absolute and percentage)
- Total Value — Sum of SOL balance plus all open token positions at current market prices
The web dashboard adds:
- Cumulative P&L chart — Visual progression of your profit/loss over time
- Top 10 positions — Ranked by unrealized P&L
- Recent 10 trades — Latest copy trades with execution delay and Solscan links
- Export CSV — Full trade history with P&L for tax reporting
How should I interpret my analytics results?
- Focus on weekly and monthly trends, not daily swings — Individual trade outcomes have high variance; the strategy's edge shows over 50+ trades
- Win rate and profit factor together — A 40% win rate with a profit factor of 2.0 is more profitable than a 65% win rate with a profit factor of 1.1
- Monitor drawdown against your comfort level — If max drawdown exceeds your threshold, reduce your Trade Size % in Settings or switch to a more Conservative strategy tier
- Review per-strategy performance — In the web dashboard's Analytics view, you can see performance broken down by strategy; a consistently underperforming strategy is a signal to contact support about your assignment
