Stratium
How does Stratium AI trading work?
Stratium is an AI crypto trading desk that reads live Coinbase Exchange prices for BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP, paper-trades with a written reason for every fill, then lets you set risk limits and fund with USDC when you’re ready. Live trading unlocks at 20 USDC.
The product
What is Stratium?
Stratium is a full trading desk for crypto: live market data from Coinbase Exchange, an explainable AI agent, session P&L, backtests, and optional USDC funding. You start in paper so you can evaluate the agent on the real tape — then go live on your terms.
Supported markets today: BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP versus USD (BTC-USD, ETH-USD, SOL-USD, XRP-USD). The desk is built so visitors can verify price legitimacy and read trade narratives before creating an account or depositing.
Audience
Who is Stratium for?
Stratium is for retail traders who want to see an AI agent operate on a live crypto tape before committing capital. If you care about named market-data venues, written reasons per fill, and risk limits before deposit, the desk is designed around that sequence.
Stratium is not a black-box “set and forget” promise of returns. The product separates proof (paper on Coinbase prices) from capital (optional USDC funding) so you can walk away after watching without funding.
How it works
How do you go from desk to live trading?
Stratium is designed so proof of behavior comes before capital. The path is the same whether you only watch paper fills or later fund with USDC.
Watch the agent trade
Open the live desk. Stratium streams real BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP prices from Coinbase Exchange and paper-trades with a written reason for every fill — so you see how the agent thinks before you commit capital.
Set your risk limits
Choose planned capital, max size per trade, and a daily loss stop. Guardrails come first. Nothing goes live until you say so.
Fund and go live
Sign in, deposit USDC (live trading unlocks at 20 USDC), and start the agent on your balance. Pause or switch back to paper anytime.
What’s included
What does Stratium include?
- Live market dataWhere do Stratium prices come from?
Ticker, candles, and 24h stats come from Coinbase Exchange public REST and WebSocket APIs for BTC-USD, ETH-USD, SOL-USD, XRP-USD — not a synthetic feed. You can cross-check Stratium’s printed price against Coinbase’s public market page for the same pair within a few seconds.
- Explainable agentHow does the Stratium AI decide trades?
The agent evaluates short-horizon momentum on the live tape (~45-second and ~5-minute windows), applies a ~12-second cooldown between fills, and stages entries with a ~1.6-second decide-then-execute delay so you can read the setup before the fill lands. Size scales with confidence and cash within per-asset caps.
- Risk by designWhat risk limits can you set before funding?
Before you deposit, you choose planned capital, a maximum percent of equity per trade, and a daily loss stop. Those rules stay visible on the desk while the agent runs — proof before capital.
- Replay & reviewCan you backtest the same agent logic?
Yes. Backtest mode replays the same spirit of rules on historical Coinbase candles (1d / 3d / 1w / 1m) with a candle-by-candle replay (~140ms/bar at 1x). Results are paper only and are not a performance guarantee.
Backtest
Where can you learn more about Stratium backtests?
For lookbacks, candle sizes, cinematic replay pacing, and how backtest differs from paper and live modes, see the dedicated Stratium AI crypto backtest page, the mode comparison guide, the agent timing lab note, the AI trading diligence checklist, the full guides hub, or open the desk directly in backtest mode.
Market data
How does Stratium keep prices live?
On load, the desk hydrates candle history from Coinbase Exchange public candle endpoints, then keeps the quote fresh over the Coinbase WebSocket ticker channel when available. If the socket stalls, the client falls back to REST polling so the chart does not freeze mid-session.
You can sanity-check legitimacy by comparing Stratium’s printed mid to Coinbase’s public market page for the same product (BTC-USD, ETH-USD, SOL-USD, XRP-USD) within a few seconds. Small differences can appear from timing, last-trade versus mid, or network lag — large persistent gaps would be a red flag.
Agent loop
What happens on each Stratium fill?
The demo agent does not claim proprietary black-box alpha. It runs a transparent momentum loop on the live series: measure short-window percent and dollar moves, raise confidence when the tape aligns, wait out a trade cooldown (~12,000 ms), then either stand aside or stage an entry.
Entries use a decide-then-execute beat (~1,600 ms) so the narrative can show “setup locked” before the fill marker appears. Exits flip when opposite momentum appears or risk logic closes the leg; realized P&L updates the session scoreboard. Agent status still updates about every 2.2 seconds even when price is quiet, so the feed does not go silent between trades.
Position size is a fraction of available cash scaled by confidence, clamped per asset (BTC versus SOL use different min/max base units). In paper mode that cash is simulated; in live mode it is your deposited USDC ledger.
Paper & live
What is paper mode vs live mode on Stratium?
Stratium uses one desk with two clearly labeled modes. Prices always come from Coinbase; only execution and capital risk change.
| Layer | Paper | Live |
|---|---|---|
| Prices / candles | Coinbase Exchange public API + WebSocket | Same Coinbase feed |
| Fills & P&L | Simulated — $0 at risk | Sized from your USDC ledger; realized P&L updates balance |
| Unlock | Open the desk — no deposit required | Sign in + deposit; trading unlocks at 20 USDC |
| Risk limits | Optional while exploring | Set before funding; enforced while trading |
| Backtests | Historical Coinbase candles, paper only | Same replay tools remain available |
Risk
How do Stratium risk limits work before you fund?
Before deposit, onboarding asks for planned capital, a maximum percent of equity per trade, and a daily loss stop. Those values are meant to be readable on the desk while the agent runs — not buried in a settings drawer after you have already sent USDC.
Live trading unlocks only after your credited ledger reaches 20 USDC. You can still top up, pause trading, or return to paper without deleting the account balance narrative. Guardrails do not eliminate loss; they bound how aggressively the agent can size relative to the rules you set.
Due diligence
How should you evaluate if an AI trading product is legitimate?
Retail AI trading products often blur marketing and market data. Use a short checklist before depositing. Stratium’s desk is built so the first three checks are possible without creating an account.
- Named venue for prices. Prefer products that cite a public exchange API (here: Coinbase Exchange) over anonymous “proprietary feeds.”
- Paper vs live labeled everywhere.Look for explicit simulation language, paper P&L, and no claim that demo fills are your live brokerage fills.
- Reasons before deposits. Each fill should show side, size, thesis, and confidence — not only a green equity curve.
- Risk limits before capital. Max percent per trade and daily loss stops should be configurable before funding.
- No guaranteed returns. Legitimate products disclose that crypto is volatile and paper results are not predictive. Stratium states this on the desk and on this page.
Boundaries
What is Stratium not?
Stratium is not a registered investment adviser, not a broker-dealer, and not a promise of profit. The public experience is a product demo of how an AI agent can narrate and paper-trade against a live crypto tape, with an optional path to fund USDC under risk limits you choose.
Coinbase is the market-data source for the demo; Stratium is not affiliated with Coinbase unless separately stated. Always assume you can lose money if you trade crypto with real funds on any platform.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What is Stratium?
Stratium is an AI crypto trading desk. It paper-trades BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP on live Coinbase Exchange prices with a written reason for every fill, lets you set risk limits, and optionally funds with USDC so the agent can trade your balance.
Is the public desk live trading or paper?
The public experience starts in paper: real Coinbase prices, simulated fills. Your capital is not at risk until you sign in, deposit USDC, and start live trading.
Where do Stratium crypto prices come from?
Prices come from Coinbase Exchange public REST and WebSocket APIs for USD pairs (BTC-USD, ETH-USD, SOL-USD, XRP-USD). Stratium does not invent the mid price. If the WebSocket stalls, the desk falls back to REST polling so the chart does not freeze.
How does the Stratium AI decide trades?
It evaluates short-horizon momentum on the live tape (~45-second and ~5-minute windows), applies a cooldown between fills (~12 seconds), and stages entries with a brief decide-then-execute delay (~1.6 seconds) so you can read the setup before the fill lands. Position size scales with confidence and cash, within per-asset size caps.
When can I go live on Stratium?
After you sign in and deposit, live trading unlocks at 20 USDC. Until then — and whenever you switch back — the desk stays in paper mode.
Can I lose money using Stratium?
Paper fills cannot lose real funds. Live trading with deposited USDC can result in partial or total loss of capital. Stratium is not financial advice, and past paper results do not predict future returns.
What assets can Stratium trade?
The desk supports BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP versus USD on Coinbase Exchange (BTC-USD, ETH-USD, SOL-USD, XRP-USD). Switching assets reconnects the feed and resets the paper session for that product.
Does Stratium charge to watch the paper agent?
No. Watching paper fills on the live desk is free. You only deposit USDC if you choose to fund and start live trading.
Ready to see Stratium trade?
Open the desk, pick BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP, and watch paper fills against live Coinbase prices — with full trade reasons. Fund only when it earns your trust.
